Ceramics
at Aigaia

Through ceramics, we come into contact with clay, form, texture, volume and composition. Through different techniques and materials, imagination, observation, patience and confidence are cultivated, while we learn to transform our thoughts, emotions and ideas into three-dimensional objects with personal character and meaning.

In the ceramics workshop, emphasis is placed both on the creation of form and on the understanding of materials and techniques. Participants are introduced to basic construction methods, such as hand-building techniques and the use of the wheel, as well as ways of decorating, carving, creating textures and applying colour and glazes.

Through this process, there is always space for experimentation, discovery and the development of new, personal and authentic ways of creating. At the same time, participants study the techniques and works of other artists, always within a framework of respect, inspiration and artistic ethics.
