The HND in Fine Art prepares you for a career as a professional artist, offering a comprehensive and creative learning experience that merges traditional and contemporary practices.
The purpose of Pearson BTEC Higher Nationals in Fine Art is to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the fine art sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. The qualifications aim to widen access to higher education and enhance the career prospects of those who undertake them.
The HND in Fine Arts at Aigaia School offers a rich educational experience, combining traditional and contemporary artistic practices.
Through the program, which lasts two or three years (depending on the prior experience of each participant), students develop their own artistic identity through hands-on projects, using mediums such as painting, printmaking, sculpture, digital art, multidimensional and interdisciplinary approaches, installations, performance art, and more.
They are guided by established artists and academics while participating in seminars and presentations by guest professionals from the arts sector, gaining valuable knowledge and experience.

Assessment
Assessment is based on clear assessment criteria and learning outcomes for all projects. The projects include practical, theoretical work, presentations and exhibitions.

If you wish to pursue a one-year top-up at a British university for a Bachelor’s Degree, and English is not your first language, it is recommended to have at least an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent.
