ceramics

The ceramics programs at Aigaia are designed for individuals of all ages and skill levels who are eager to rediscover the joy of creating handmade objects. Whether you’re interested in crafting functional or decorative pieces, you’ll have the chance to work with clay, shaping it with your own hands into something truly unique that you can take home.

Ceramics is more than just an art form—it’s an experience. There’s a certain magic in the process: taking an unformed lump of clay and gradually transforming it into a one-of-a-kind creation. If you’ve been missing that sense of creating something from scratch, now might be the perfect time to dive into the world of ceramics.

Our ceramics programs at Aigaia include training on the pottery wheel and hand-building techniques, along with comprehensive instruction in glazing, coloring, and painting methods. Participants will develop their skills through hands-on practice and creative expression, gaining knowledge and experience in both traditional and contemporary ceramics techniques. We provide a supportive environment, ideal for artists of all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.

For those new to ceramics, our expert instructors will guide you through the basic construction techniques, allowing you to progress at your own pace, according to your skills and aesthetic preferences. Classes cover working with different types of clay and applying various techniques, with a focus on exploring and developing personal ideas, leading to the creation of a unique artistic language and expression. Our fully equipped studios and experienced teachers ensure that you receive guidance and support at every step of the process.

Participants engage in group classes in a pleasant, interactive, and creative setting. Our programs are flexible, tailored to fit the schedules of our students, allowing them to integrate their education seamlessly into their daily lives. Graduates of our programs have the opportunity to showcase their work in school exhibitions and participate in ceramics competitions and festivals, enhancing their artistic journey and professional growth.

All programs include the firing and glazing of the pieces created.
