UPCYCLING & CLOTHING DECONSTRUCTION (LEVEL 1)

Τhis course will unravel a unique clothing-recycling method, aiming for the participants to develop conscious purchasing habits, as well as boost their creative thinking.

The process of turning any used garment into a unique new piece will give the participants theoretical knowledge, practical skills, as well as a sense of accomplishment and creative satisfaction.

No prior sewing experience is required to participate.

 

FASHION DRAPING (LEVEL 2)

A creatively challenging course that will introduce the participants to the draping method – free fabric experimentation on the mannequin (dress form).

Draping is a huge part of the design process, as pinning intentionally the fabric on the mannequin gives designers a clear idea of the finished garment and can modify in the process, as necessary.

Through this very creative method of design, participants will experience the freedom of the construction process and the endless possibilities in designing a garment.

Completion of UPCYCLING & CLOTHING DECONSTRUCTION (Level 1) is recommended before attending this course.

 

FASHION DESIGN: DESIGNING A COLLECTION (Level 3)

In this course, participants will design their own small collection. It will visually reflect their personality, experiences and ethos through the design of the garments, the styling and the photography.

Step-by-step, the idea will unravel into the various design stages, the development of the final collection and the final garment construction.

Upon completion of the assignment, participants will have a picture of how to create a collection: the brainstorming will unfold into the design concept, the mood boards, the research and finally the development of original fashion designs.

Completion of UPCYCLING & CLOTHING DECONSTRUCTION (Level 1) and FASHION DRAPING (Level 2) is recommended before attending this course.
