The printmaking programs at Aigaia School of Art & Design are intended for individuals of all ages and levels. For those that want to be involved with printmaking for the first time, they will start with an introduction to the basics of printmaking, including basic engraving and printing techniques. They will gain knowledge by engraving and printing both in black and white and colour, using different techniques and styles. The joy and experience offered by creating multiple prints, on different kinds of papers and surfaces, the special texture and the light relief of the prints gives each printed artwork a special meaning and value.

We aim to equip the students with the knowledge and experience on printmaking’s most popular techniques as well as the opportunity to experiment and apply those techniques creating, developing and expanding their personal artistic identity and visual language.

Our programs include the following techniques:

Woodcut / Linocut / Collagraphy / Etching (non toxic technique) / Screen Printing / Βookbinding / Mixed printing technique
