Animation

Animation brings together image, movement, time, rhythm and storytelling, offering a creative way to express ideas, emotions and stories. Through the process of animation, participants develop imagination, observation, creative thinking, patience and visual storytelling skills.

In the workshop, emphasis is placed both on image and character creation, as well as on the understanding of key animation principles, such as the frame, sequence, rhythm, transition, expression and the relationship between image and sound. Participants experiment with techniques including hand-drawn animation, flipbooks, stop motion, cut-out animation, collage, photography and simple digital applications.

Through the creation of short animated sequences, participants develop skills in scene composition, character creation, storytelling and collaborative making. At the same time, they study techniques and works by other creators and artists, within a framework of respect, inspiration and artistic ethics.
