Photography
Photography is a contemporary medium of expression, observation and visual storytelling. Through the study of light, composition, framing, perspective and the decisive moment, it cultivates the ability to see the world with greater attention, sensitivity and a personal point of view.
As an artistic practice, photography connects technical knowledge with creative thinking. The use of light, the choice of camera angle, focus, image structure and the relationship between subject and meaning all contribute to the creation of images with aesthetic quality, character and narrative strength.
Photography also offers space for experimentation through a wide range of approaches, including portraiture, landscape, still life, street photography, staged photography and photographic narrative. Through engagement with the work and practices of significant photographers and contemporary creators, participants develop an understanding of photographic language, critical thinking and personal visual expression.
