Annual Exhibition of Children’s Art
29 March – 30 April 2026

Aigaia School of Art & Design invites you to the annual exhibition of children’s art “Future Artists”, celebrating the creativity, imagination and free expression of young creators.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on Sunday, 29 March 2026 at 5:00 pm.
The exhibition will be officially opened by Elena Perikleous, Commissioner for Children’s Rights.

Visitors are invited to wander through a vibrant collection of paintings, sculptures, ceramic works, photographs, characters, objects and small visual stories that have emerged from the children’s creative processes. The young artists of Aigaia School present their own unique ways of observing and interpreting the world around them. With spontaneity, sensitivity and imagination, they remind us that creativity is a powerful tool for thinking and expression, especially important in responding to the challenges of our contemporary world.

Throughout the academic year, the children participated in specialised workshops that rotated throughout the programme, introducing them to different areas of Fine Arts, Design and Media. Through this process, they experimented with materials, techniques and ideas, developing a multidimensional visual understanding, which is reflected in the exhibition where all students take part.

Aigaia School seeks to cultivate and strengthen an appreciation for the visual arts as an essential element of culture. Through a wide range of creative activities, children are encouraged to observe the world with curiosity, express their inner thoughts and feelings, record experiences and memories, develop critical thinking and explore creative ways of responding to ideas and challenges.

During the exhibition, guided tours and creative activities will be organised for visitors. Teachers are welcome to attend with their classes, and parents are invited to visit together with their children. The educational character of the exhibition offers children of different ages the opportunity to discover themes, ideas and artistic approaches, creating a unique, interactive and inspiring experience.

2025 annual exhibition

As the academic year comes to a close, Aigaia School of Art and Design presents its annual group exhibition, featuring work by students across all levels of study. The exhibition brings together diverse artistic responses to everyday life, social observation, and the ongoing need for personal expression. It offers a shared visual journey that begins with individual viewpoints and evolves into a broader collective experience. Through themes such as identity, introspection, and the search for connection, the exhibition invites visitors to pause, reflect, and engage.

The works on display are the result of a year dedicated to fostering independent and authentic artistic voices. Through a wide range of media — painting, ceramics, mixed media, installation, fashion and textile design, and digital art — students communicate ideas, emotions, and narratives with intention and clarity.

In a world shaped by rapid change and social complexity, young artists are called to position themselves both critically and creatively. They respond with imagination, thoughtfulness, and sensitivity, drawing on personal experiences and the broader context of contemporary life. Each piece stands as an open invitation — a prompt to reconsider and reimagine the world around us.

Material, colour, and form become vessels for meaning and feeling. Sometimes bold and direct, at other times quiet and subtle, the artworks navigate the space between inner reflection and external reality. Collectively, they express a generation’s desire to explore, question, and communicate with honesty and depth.

The exhibition will open on Saturday 21 June 2025 at 20:00, at Aigaia School of Art and Design, 81 Agion Omologiton, and will remain open until 27 June 2025 (Monday to Saturday), during the school’s regular opening hours.

OPEN DAYS will be held during the exhibition, enabling visitors to be thoroughly informed about all the programs on offer and to take guided tours of the exhibition and school premises.

about...

This project looks at how everyday actions and feelings are viewed through a lens that objectifies women. Under this perspective, nothing remains neutral—everything is filtered through what society has been taught to see.

Aigaia School of Art and Design invites you to the Annual Exhibition of its Young Artists, which takes place between the 6th and 29th April 2025.

Wander in between colours, brushstrokes, sculptures, ceramics, paintings, photographs, characters, objects, stories. All our children groups had the opportunity to work in our specialised studios and workshops in rotation, resulting in their experiencing a range of the Art, Design and media pathways. Our purpose is always to highlight the importance of the cultural cultivation that unfolds when growing up with the arts as part of everyday life, as well as the appreciation cultivated of the visual arts, as an element of culture. Via the various activities we challenge the children’s awareness, pushing them to spontaneously imprint their surroundings. To express their inner world, to record experiences, moments and encounters, to develop critical thinking, to propose solutions.

During the exhibition, guided tours and activities will be offered will be offered for children in primary education, which can be attended by school classes with their teachers as well as families.

Annual Visual Arts Exhibition, Aigaia 2024

Inspiration, creation, contemporary approach, diversity, and evolution embody the annual exhibition of Aigaia School of Art & Design for the academic year 2023-2024, which will be held from June 14 to June 22, 2024.

The exhibition presents samples of students’ work from various levels of study, including the accredited / certified “Visual Arts” program which is exclusively offered by our school in both Greek and English.

The artworks presented in the exhibition, display uniqueness and authenticity, as the primary goal of all our programs is the development of personal visual language. A common factor of all artworks is the respect for Art, with clarity in thought and image.

During the academic year, principles and techniques of the visual arts were taught, laying essential foundations and establishing solid bases for the development of appropriate skills, particularly in fostering a personal visual identity. The themes selected stem from the students’ concerns about contemporary society, daily experiences and personal testimonies. The media used varied according to the desired aesthetics and symbolism, always aiming to keep pace with the contemporary evolutionary course of our times with a futuristic tendency.

The exhibition serves as a professional presentation of our students’ work, both as groups and as individual entities. The high level of education is reflected in the visual messages of the works, which align with the school’s vision to convey the importance of the arts and culture in Cyprus.

In addition to the work of our Higher Education students, the exhibition also presents work created by students of various levels of art exams, portfolios for entrance to fine art, design, media degrees, or work by students that simply aim to enrich their academic qualifications, knowledge and experiences.

OPEN DAYS will be held during the exhibition, enabling visitors to be thoroughly informed about all the programs on offer and to take guided tours of the exhibition and school premises.

The exhibition’s opening will take place on Friday June 14th 2024 at 20:30, at the school’s building, 81 Agion Omologiton Avenue.

Visitors are welcome between Monday and Saturday 14-22 June, during the school’s working hours.

2 – 17 February 2024

Opening: Friday, 2 February @20:00

The exhibition will showcase the final major projects of the second year students of the Visual Arts program at Aigaia School of Art and Design. It is a unique opportunity to discover the variety of artistic expressions that have emerged from the students personal creative journies. Each work is the outcome of an individual and unique creative exploration, showcasing a distinctive viewpoint and artistic expression.

By exploring contemporary art themes in visual arts our second year students engage with subjects reflecting the complexities of our modern world. Themes such as identity, freedom of speech and other political, personal and societal issues become canvases for exploration. As a result, visual arts reflect contemporary realities and become catalysts for thoughtful discussions and societal self-reflection.
